CLARINS SPA AT THE “W” HOTEL

You must try the Clarins Spa at the “W” in Goa. If super pampering and relaxation is what you need then this is the place to be.

I was actually exhausted after having a fortnight of attending weddings and birthday celebrations. Having rushed to Goa to actually recover and rejuvenate, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to indulge myself. Daisy, the main therapist led me to the cloakroom where I deposited my mobile and with it my access to the world outside and readied myself for an afternoon of sheer indulgence.

Wrapped in a towel I seated myself in the steam room, allowing the toxins to seep out in sweat. It seemed like a real long since I had experienced this real quiet time so essential for peace of the mind. Somehow the routine matters compounded with this excess socializing had really tired me out. I closed my eyes and let time drift by. Ten minutes later, she led me into the 300sq metres of luxury. She asked me to soak my feet into rose petalled water before we started the treatment. Taking a light scrub she rubbed the soles of my feet gradually releasing the tightness. The room was fragrant with the smell of lavender and I was already beginning to relax. Removing the robe that had cocooned me in its soft warmth, she lay me down on the massage bed and dimmed the lights. With the soft notes of the piano playing in the background I shut of my visual senses and got ready to be pampered. Using a scrub with a hint of mint she gently exfoliated my skin off its sweat and dead cells. I could feel the soft rush of blood circulation as she moved her hands with a slight increase in pace. A quick warm shower to wash away the scrub I got ready to enjoy the massage. As she used her deft fingers to release the tension off my shoulders and neck I could have almost fallen asleep. But I kept myself awake to be able to enjoy the experience. But it wasn’t long before, drenched with essential oils, the therapist kneaded away my aches and pains and put me into a blissful sleep.

It was an hour before she woke me up, “Would you like to use the hot tub in the room or see the warm pool outside?” she enquired, It’s pretty quiet today and you may be able to enjoy the serenity outside undisturbed. That sounded like an option to try out in the evening with my hubby. But at that time I decided to enjoy some more of the ‘me’ time I had been lucky to get. It was one of the loveliest spa experiences I have had and indeed a must try whenever you visit the new W Hotel at the Vagator Beach in Goa.
